I just arrived from 13 hour train ride from Saratov,Russia to Astrakan a city in the southeast of Russia, near the Caspian Sea and overlooking are the countries of Turkey and Iran. Interesting Isn't it? I'll be expecting missiles that will be launch from Iran or Turkey to somewhere to the Central Asia! I am just being a realist, hearing news about things like this would simply trigger my eagerness to expect some scenarios. It was quite freaky travelling in Russian Train alone but hey, for the nth time I manange to be just fine with all the militia and those freaky crazy people. I am not being cynical about this it is how they act and behave! I am not prejudging them but it is simply how can I describe them.
I am just simply curious on where did JK Rowling got the idea of the place called AZKABAN? ASTRAKAN? not far...maybe yet that is I have to discover. I'll be spending two weeks here and I hope everything would be great! There is not much snow here that in the rest of Russia, the temperature is quite warm +2 or +4, which I am happy about and more to be happy about is that I'll be having my Russian Lessons! cool!

I live now with a host family, 3 kilometers away from the Caspian Sea, I hope I can have a look on the beach, even it is fucking cold! I am sorry it is.

THIS KALEIDOSCOPE WORLD
SO many Races so many Faces
Different voices Different Choices
Back in 1990's When Francis M. was still in the heat of his career this song was a chart topper, and now, this song relentlessly exist but this song will mean much more today than yesterday. Being a peace volunteer changes a lot in me, I never thought that it would be as hard as this. leaving Philippines was an idea not to leave my family behind but to take part in something more, and this was the journey I've taken a flight to Russia for a year. A week before I came here, there was a picture of what is in store for me and now the picture is bigger than the life itself. Paradoxically.
Meeting a bunch of young kids ready to face the world unknown. These youngster are in their 16 and 17's and though they are really young they think. I can imagine myself back then, taking responsibility on my own when I was in the University. Italians,Germans,Americans,Swiss,Canadians,Thai,Japanese, and Russian with these kids I finally realized that we are ahead of our time and that of we are making changes despite of the challenges we have to face here. Reality bites in some ways but issues like Racial Discrimination would just be here as long as we are not making our actions to change the status qou.
